I’m also looking for Foster!

Hi there! My name’s Sticks!

I’m a young, playful boy looking for a loving family who can keep up with my energy—and also save me a spot on the couch for some quality snuggle time. I like to start the day with a good run, but then I can chill out even in a small space. I would make a pretty great fitness pal!

I love my morning zoomies and I’m always up for a game of fetch (though I’m still working on the whole “giving the toy back” part!). Soft, fluffy toys with squeakers are my absolute favourite. I might try to coax you into a game now and then throughout the day, but I can take a hint. If it’s not a good time for you, I’ll go back to chilling out. We’ll do something fun later, right?

I can get conflicted about people touching me. I want cuddles, but I’m worried people might not be gentle and calm with me, so I might jump on them and mouth them to try to slow them down. I am gentle because I don’t want anyone to get mad at me! I need someone who can be patient and calm while I learn to trust them. It won’t take me long before I will feel safe enough to relax and show you how cuddly I can be. Kids are kind of chaotic and exciting to me, so I would do best with children aged 13 and up that can stay calm with me when needed.

I’m still learning about other dogs and can feel excited and unsure around them, but my foster carer has been working on teaching me to look from a distance. If up close, I will try to rush over to greet, but I’m open to learning how to greet other dogs politely. Everyone can see I’m doing my best to be friendly, but adult dogs keep giving me looks like I’m a bit much.
