Pedro

Pedro is a 2-year-old Staffy with a gentle soul and a thoughtful approach to life. He can be a little unsure when faced with new things, but given time and patience, his curiosity shines through. Pedro can be cheeky and fun-loving, and he’s very good at entertaining himself with his toys. He loves to do laps around the yard with his latest favourite toy in his mouth.

Pedro is working on his social skills and making improvements. He is not suited to live with another dog at this stage, but he likes dogs in principle. He is, however, easily overwhelmed and remembers dogs that threatened or startled him. We are teaching him how to handle himself in these situations.

With people, Pedro wants to be friends with everybody but can also become overwhelmed. He does best if given some time to get used to a new person and if he starts to get a bit excitable, a toy he can focus his energies on. As such, he is not suited to a home with young children who he may accidentally knock over.

Pedro is looking for a kind, understanding home where he can continue to build confidence and feel safe and loved. With a little patience and a lot of care, this sweet boy will blossom. He will make you laugh with his mischievous antics, and you heart flutter over his ability to look supremely comfortable in bed. He will do his best for you and give you reason to feel proud of what you can achieve together.

Medical notes: Pedro is currently on a special diet to alleviate skin and gut troubles and doing well on it.
