Atlas is a 3.5-year-old German Shepherd with a huge heart and an even bigger desire to love his people. This handsome boy is the definition of affectionate — if you sit down, don’t be surprised if Atlas is right there trying to climb into your lap for cuddles, kisses, and attention. He is searching for more than just a home; he is looking for his person, his best friend, his soulmate.

Atlas is incredibly sweet-natured and absolutely lights up when he gets praise and attention. He loves playing with his toys and is happiest when he can share that fun with the people he loves. Like many dogs who may not have had the best start, Atlas is still learning some life skills. We don’t believe he has had much experience walking on a lead before, so walks currently involve plenty of zigging, zagging, and attempts to wriggle out of his harness! The good news is that Atlas is learning quickly and improving every day with gentle guidance and consistency. He will thrive with someone patient who is willing to continue building his confidence and skills.

Atlas is not dog social and is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. Because of this, he will best suit an adult-only household with people who understand and appreciate the loyal, devoted nature of the breed.
