Dogs will be fostered out for the one day only

On Saturday 31st July Sydney Dogs and Cats Home with the support of “Hire a Hubby” will be holding a Tradie’s Day

We are looking for qualified Tradies to donate their time and/or hardware suppliers to donate material for much needed repairs at the Home. Our first priority is the replacement of the roof above the kennels but there are many other small projects that the home can use assistance with. We Need Your Help Today

To Save Sydney Dogs and Cats Home

In order to continue to provide the ongoing care for our animals we need your continual support which we have appreciated and valued in the past.

At present we receive over 4000 lost and unwanted animals each year from eleven Sydney Councils but are only funded by them for the first week of care *14 days in the case of micro-chipped animals.

Listed below are some of the costs associated with the ongoing expenses on a daily and weekly basis, costs that have been supported by your donations.

• $15 can feed a cat for a week
• $45 vaccinates a dog on arrival to prevent the spread of disease
• $95 to $115 de-sexes a cat and dog for welfare situations
• $20 per day to house a cat at the shelter
• $25 per day to house a dog at the shelter

The support we receive by donation is what enables us to keep the animals for as long as it takes to find them a loving home and provide them with food, shelter and medical care.

Whilst in our care we strive to provide our animals with companionship, exercise, stimulation, training and rehabilitation to improve their chances of successful adoption.

Without financial help from our supporters we cannot continue to operate, let alone develop programmes that enhance the lives of the animals in our care and the people in our community.

We truly appreciated your past support and understand that you know how important pets are in everyone’s lives. It is only though your continued help that we can implement these positive changes – nothing is more pleasing that to see these animals go to their new home.
