What an amazing collection of true stories written with love, and the most enriching thing about this is the fact the all people feel that the dogs have given so much more back and make such a significant difference to many lives. We have two dogs already, and reading this book makes you want to make the difference and rescue one more. It is the most heart warming, impossible to put down, incredible book I have ever read. Each and every story in this book is a truly unique story, one of bravey, hope, courage and most of all love. It really makes you appreciate these furry friends on a whole other level. Having saved two rescues myself, I found alot of these stories very close to home. My dog is a former resident of SDCH. She is the most loving, loyal & funniest dog, adoredby anyone who meets her. But without SDCH she would not even be alive, which is why I have bequested all my money to the Home so they can continue to give dogs like my beautiful Stella a second chance at life.. They will do their breeding in the park. There should be some sort of laws in place that if you own a domestic dog it's compulsory to de-sex them unless you pay a massive sum of money which would go to ensuring all neglected, deserted dogs get a full healthy life. Since it's us humans that have channeled the creation of the domestic dog, it's our responsibility to look after them. A sausage dog wouldn't last five minutes in the wild!
